Dump Truck and Equipment Operator I
The Union County Board of County Commissioner’s Road Department is looking to hire a full-time Dump Truck and Equipment Operator I position to assist with maintaining the County’s roadways. Pay starts at $16.00/hr, Monday – Friday 7:30AM – 4:00PM. Requires On-Call availability 24/7 during any declared disaster or emergency. Performs skilled tasks operating heavy equipment, primarily dump trucks, front-end loaders, and backhoe. Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED), a valid Driver’s License with at least a Class B CDL endorsement, and one to three years of related experience. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and DOC background check. Applicants with a CDL permit may be considered if Class B CDL can be obtained in a timely manner. Financial Assistance for CDLs may be available with additional conditions of employment.
