Call-Time Paramedic

The Union County Emergency Medical Services Department is hiring Full-Time Paramedics to help serve our community. The primary purpose of this position is to provide Advanced Life Support Level and Basic Life Support Level emergency medical treatment & transport to the sick and injured. The goal of this position is to perform high quality assessments of the sick and injured, to determine most appropriate course of medical treatment based upon that assessment, to provide the determined course of treatment to the sick and injured in the most efficient, beneficial, and professional manner while on-scene or during ambulance transport to a receiving medical facility. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, possess a high school diploma or GED, possess a valid FL Driver’s License, and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and FDLE background check. All applicants must also posess a 16-hour Emergency Vehicle Operator Certification (EVOC). Applicants for Paramedic positions must have a valid State of FL Paramedic Certification and ACLS Certification.  Pay starts at $15.00/hr and may be higher depending on certifications and experience. These positions are eligible for full-time benefits, including Medical, Dental, Vision, and Supplemental Insurances, Florida State Retirement Benefits, Deferred Compensation Plan through Nationwide, PTO, and Paid Holidays.
