Call-Time Collection Site Attendant
The Union County Solid Waste Department is hiring for call-time Collection Site Attendant positions to help maintain and assist the public at County collection sites. These positions will be responsible safe and efficient operation of their assigned collection site and providing professional and courteous customer service to all citizens. Pay starts at $14.00/hr. Work schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Friday or Wednesday through Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Saturday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Sunday 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. This position will work on an On-Call basis during these hours. Applicants must be able to read and write. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age or older and posses a valid Florida Driver’s License. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and DOC background check. Dump Truck/ Equipment Operator I
The Union County Road Department is hiring for Full-time Dump Truck/ Equipment Operator I positions to assist with maintenance of the County’s roadways. These positions will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of any heavy equipment, primarily dump trucks, loaders, and backhoe. These positions will start at $16.00/hr. Work schedule is 40 hours/week, Monday – Friday from 7:30AM – 4:00PM. Must be available 24/7 during any declared emergency or disaster. Call-Time Paramedic and EMT
The Union County Emergency Medical Services Department is hiring Call-Time Paramedics and EMTs to help serve our community. The primary purpose of this position is to provide Advanced Life Support Level and Basic Life Support Level emergency medical treatment & transport to the sick and injured. The goal of this position is to perform high quality assessments of the sick and injured, to determine most appropriate course of medical treatment based upon that assessment, to provide the determined course of treatment to the sick and injured in the most efficient, beneficial, and professional manner while on-scene or during ambulance transport to a receiving medical facility. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, possess a high school diploma or GED, possess a valid FL Driver’s License, and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and FDLE background check. All applicants must also possess a 16-hour Emergency Vehicle Operator Certification (EVOC). Applicants for Paramedic positions must have a valid State of FL Paramedic license and ACLS certification. Applicants for EMT positions must have a valid State of FL Emergency Medical Technician certification and BLS certification. Pay starts at $15.00/hr and may be higher depending on certifications and experience.
