General Laborer/ Inmate Supervisor I
The Union County Road Department is hiring for a Full-time General Laborer/ Inmate Supervisor I position to supervise inmate work squads and maintain the County’s right-of-ways. This position will start at $15.00/hr. Work schedule is 40 hours/week, Monday – Friday from 6:00AM – 3:00PM, hours subject to change based on FDOC inmate release times. Must be available on-call 24/7 during any declared emergency or disaster. This position is eligible for full-time benefits, including Medical, Dental, Vision, and Supplemental Insurances, Florida State Retirement Benefits, Deferred Compensation Plan through Nationwide, PTO, and Paid Holidays. Dump Truck/ Equipment Operator I
The Union County Road Department is hiring for Full-time Dump Truck/ Equipment Operator I positions to assist with maintenance of the County’s roadways. These positions will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of any heavy equipment, primarily dump trucks, loaders, and backhoe. These positions will start at $16.00/hr. Work schedule is 40 hours/week, Monday – Friday from 7:30AM – 4:00PM. Must be available 24/7 during any declared emergency or disaster. Call-Time Paramedic and EMT
The Union County Emergency Medical Services Department is hiring Call-Time Paramedics and EMTs to help serve our community. The primary purpose of this position is to provide Advanced Life Support Level and Basic Life Support Level emergency medical treatment & transport to the sick and injured. The goal of this position is to perform high quality assessments of the sick and injured, to determine most appropriate course of medical treatment based upon that assessment, to provide the determined course of treatment to the sick and injured in the most efficient, beneficial, and professional manner while on-scene or during ambulance transport to a receiving medical facility. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, possess a high school diploma or GED, possess a valid FL Driver’s License, and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and FDLE background check. All applicants must also possess a 16-hour Emergency Vehicle Operator Certification (EVOC). Applicants for Paramedic positions must have a valid State of FL Paramedic license and ACLS certification. Applicants for EMT positions must have a valid State of FL Emergency Medical Technician certification and BLS certification. Pay starts at $15.00/hr and may be higher depending on certifications and experience.
