General Notice
Union County Board of County Commissioners (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:

SW 63RD DRIVE & SE 8TH AVENUE WIDENING AND RESURFACING
FPID Project Numbers 434592-1-54-01 & 436449-1-54-01

Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the County Commissioners office located at 15 NE 1st Street, Lake Butler, FL 32054, until Thursday, September 12th at 2:00 PM local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.

The Project includes the following Work:

All work for the Project shall be constructed in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications prepared by the Engineer. Bids shall be submitted for furnishing, delivering and installing all materials, equipment, and services, including labor for the Work, which generally involves the following activities:

Part A, SW 63rd Drive:  Widen and resurface approximately 5,200 L.F. (0.98 mile) of existing asphalt roadway, shoulder grading, sodding, guardrail, signing and pavement markings, maintenance of traffic, and testing.  The project starts at the intersection of CR 18A and ends at the intersection of CR 231A.

Part B, SE 8th Avenue:  Widen and resurface approximately 1,400 L.F. (0.26 mile) of existing asphalt roadway, shoulder grading, sodding, driveway apron construction, testing, maintenance of traffic/safety measures, striping, and signing. Project starts at the intersection of SR 121 and ends at the intersection of SR 100.

The Project has an expected duration of 150 days.

Contractor shall be prequalified by Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) in work classes required for this project.

Prospective Bidders may view the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Thursday between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

Printed copies of the Bidding Documents are not available. Digital copies of the bidding documents may be obtained by emailing the bid document coordinator at [email protected]

Nonmandatory Pre-bid Conference

A nonmandatory pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on Monday, September 9th at 2:00 PM at the County Commission meeting room located at 55 West Main Street, Lake Butler, FL. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged but not required.
